              Send that brief to providers who cover your area, and compare the replies on first-year total rather than monthly rate. Eighty-five of the 112 providers we audited publish no price at all, so asking is the only way to find out what you would pay.

              Where This Comes From

              All numbers used in the planner come from our 2026 US Office Water Cooler Market Report which took place between 16-17th September 2026. 286 companies were reviewed and 112 companies audited on 66 different fields. We specified 68 coolers from 24 brands, coded 172 customer reviews and looked up local codes of practice, hardnes, rates per gallon and kwh price for 50 metro areas.

              Research was done on the providers website's, contract documents, specification sheets. NSF and WQA database's and studies. No provider has been contacted nor have we run any survey. If there is no data in a field it means they haven't disclosed that information.

              When data is lacking we will make that known on the planner instead of trying to work it out. Price information is based on 10 of the 112 providers that list prices on their website. None of the metro areas had 3 price points so all prices are shown as national median. We show how many jugs your office would avoid rather than co2 emissions. As there is no study that looks at re using the 5 gallon jug.
