About WaterModo

We check the water cooler companies so you do not have to

WaterModo is a free directory of bottleless water cooler companies in the US. We look into every provider before it goes on the site, show you what we found, and let you ask for quotes with no pressure to buy.

  • Free to use, with no account and no fee for a quote
  • Every company is reviewed by our team before it is listed
  • Badges are earned, and no company can buy one

Why WaterModo exists

From a messy search to a clear choice

We did not set out to build a directory. We set out to fix a search that wastes far too much of everyone's time.

Stage 01 · The problem

Choosing a supplier took far longer than it should

Buying a water cooler for your office should take an afternoon. For most people it does not. You search, you open a dozen tabs, and you still cannot tell which companies are real, which ones cover your street, and which prices are normal.

Then the calls start. Every supplier says it is the best. One quote hides the install fee. Another adds filter changes later. Most people give up comparing and pick whoever called back first.

The facts you need already exist. They are just scattered, buried, or written by someone trying to sell you something.
Stage 02 · What we built

One place, with the digging already done

WaterModo lists bottleless water cooler companies city by city. We confirm each one is a real, active business. We note how long it has been trading, where it works, and whether its filtration meets an outside standard. Then we publish what we found in plain words.

We cover bottleless coolers only. These units connect to the cold water line in your building and filter tap water as it pours. Nobody has to lift a jug, store a pallet of them, or call in a reorder, and for most workplaces it costs less over a year.

Stage 03 · What it means for you

A shorter job, and a choice you can back up

You can see who serves your area, what we checked about them, and roughly what things cost, all before you speak to anyone. Ask for quotes when you are ready, or read and leave. Nothing here signs you up.

We are a directory, not a supplier. We do not sell, install, or service coolers, so we have no reason to steer you toward one company. If you want the exact scoring rules, they are on our rating and badge methodology page.

The same search, with and without us

Nothing here is magic. We just do the boring parts first so your side of the job gets shorter.

Searching on your own

An afternoon that turns into a week

  • You cannot tell a national supplier from a dead website.
  • Coverage maps are vague, so you call people who do not serve you.
  • Every quote is priced a different way, so nothing lines up.
  • Filtration claims sound the same whether they are proven or not.
  • You give your number out five times and the calls keep coming.
Searching with WaterModo

One short form, then a real comparison

  • Every company listed has been checked by our team first.
  • Listings are sorted by city, so you only see who covers you.
  • You answer the same questions once and quotes come back to you.
  • Badges show what we confirmed, including NSF certified filtration.
  • Free tools let you sanity check cost and sizing before you talk to anyone.

What we stand for

Five rules we do not bend

A directory is only worth reading if you can trust what it says. These are the rules behind every listing, badge, and star on the site.

Rule 01

Badges are earned, never bought

A badge only shows what we confirmed. Paying us does not add one and it does not remove one. We publish the criteria for each badge, so you can hold us to it.

Rule 02

Outside proof beats a sales claim

Where an independent standard exists, we use it. Our filtration badge points to NSF and ANSI certification, which is a real test by a third party, not a line a company wrote about itself.

Rule 03

The rating is explained, not hidden

The WaterModo Rating runs from 1 to 5 stars. It is built from public review sources and weighed for how many reviews there are and how recent they are. You can read the whole method on our methodology page.

Rule 04

Nothing on this site signs you up

Asking for a quote is not a commitment. Compare the numbers, ask questions, and walk away if none of it fits. Your details go only to suppliers matched to your request, and we do not sell them on.

Rule 05

We say what things cost

Rental in the US usually falls between about $25 and $65 a month, before install and filter changes. We put ranges like that in the open so you can spot a strange quote before you sign it.

Full disclosure

How WaterModo pays for itself

The site is free for the people using it. You do not pay to search, to compare, or to ask for a quote. So it is a fair question to ask who does.

Suppliers do. A water cooler company can pay to be listed, to upgrade its profile, or to receive quote requests from buyers in the areas it serves. That is the whole business model, and it is the only money that comes in.

Here is the line we will not cross. Paying us can affect how visible a company is on the site. It cannot change what a badge says, and it cannot move a star rating. Those come from what we verified, and nothing else. When a placement is paid, we label it. The details are on our disclosure page.
